VOIP Case study - Parklands IFA
Parklands IFA are leading Independent financial advisors in the East Anglian region, working from offices in both Lowestoft & Kings Lynn.
We were facing the concept of having BT install very expensive separate phone systems at each site said MD, Paul Yallop.
Our hosted VoIP for business solution was perfect for Parklands. Each user has been set up with their own direct dial number, in addition to the existing traditional numbers, which they could use at any one of the 3 sites.
In the main office we supplied Cisco routers & new handsets were installed at each desk. We installed software on each desk PC, which in conjunction with the handsets allows simple configuration of any call routes & the free voicemail service.
The VoIP for business system also has free internal calls between colleagues & branch offices, together with discounted call charges for all other calls.
The hosted system installed by OneStream was a fraction of the initial cost, with the additional benefits of a single managed system free calls & transfers between sites & cheaper rates for all of our calls!
What is VoIP?
In its simplest form Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that allows calls to be made over a high-speed internet or broadband connection. It works by converting voice calls into packets of digital information that are sent over the internet.
However, it is the range of options VoIP offers to users, rather than the underlying technology, that is changing the way we use the telephone.
